Federal Business Development Manager

The right candidate will be a team player who effectively builds relationships both inside and outside the organization. This sales professional gathers consultant and client information and uses it for effective deployment of Isos Technology products and services. This individual is a self-starter who values team input and is willing to give input for the betterment of the team.

We work with some of the largest companies in the world helping them implement the Atlassian tools.   • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (VP of Operations, VP of Strategy, Contracts, Finance) and external strategic partners. Meets regularly with internal stakeholders and strategic partners to review pipeline and capabilities.

  • Develop a Go-to-Market strategy for the Department and Defense and Federal Civilian sectors, to include both government organizations and industry partners

  • Develop and maintain continuing relationships with government and industry leaders

  • Participate in industry organizations, conferences and symposia, and other networking opportunities

  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities, using industry best practices for opportunity evaluation and pipeline management

  • Maintain continual awareness of Isos’ competitive position with respective sectors through collection of business intelligence, competitor analysis, contract award notices, and industry and government press releasesMaintain awareness of government notices and announcements using typical commercial resources (e.g. GovWin, as well as partner leads (e.g., Carahsoft, AWS, Atlassian, etc)

  • Develop capture strategies for opportunities of interest, to include value proposition, win strategies, competitor analysis, teaming analysis, and Pwin

  • Work with marketing to develop communications for target organizations

  • Contribute to proposal artifacts such as previous performance statements, resumes, technical volumes, teaming agreements, cost /pricing strategies, etc.

  • Coordinate NDAs and teaming agreements through established Isos channels; maintain accurate records of companies and opportunities for which NDAs and teaming agreements are in effect

  • Demonstrate and cultivate Consulting Mindset throughout the team within the practice area

  • Isos' Atlassian Platinum Partnership is dependent on having certified and accredited resources. You will acquire and maintain the required technical and sales certifications in your first calendar year of employment and every subsequent year thereafter.

  • Maintain strategic alignment with Isos Executive Team and assist in translating that to the rest of Isos through words and by example

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships within Atlassian to help provide guidance, leadership, and influence to the direction of Atlassian tools, with the ability to translate that back to how Isos goes to market in the future

  • Regularly contribute informative and engaging original content to be used in Isos' Atlassian Support and Services marketing efforts in the form of whitepapers, blog posts, and social media status updates

  • Successfully fulfill the responsibilities of the position and contribute to the success of Isos Service Delivery

  • May contribute or coordinate training activities internally or externally from time to time

Job requirements

To function in the role of Federal Business Development Manager, Isos requires that you already have the following demonstrable and verifiable skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience relevant to the responsibilities of the role
  • 5-10 years of professional work experience in a Federal sales or business development capacity with an emphasis on new business development

  • Strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion for the business of Isos and our services

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stay organized and multi-task between multiple tasks/customer situations simultaneously

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

  • Motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented

  • Experience with using HubSpot or other CRM applications

  • Ability to maintain a sense of humor in a high-pressure environment

We support pay transparency and the On-Target Earnings (OTE - which includes base salary, commission and bonus) range for this position is between $195,000 - $225,000 including a suite of employee benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with an employer contribution. Actual compensation can vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic pay differentials. A successful comprehensive background and clearance check is required post offer.
