We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to temporarily fill a role in our accounting department as a Temporary Junior Controller. This position is essential for assisting in the transition of our billing processes until a permanent replacement has been fully trained. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

The position is expected to last for a duration of at least two months, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.


  • Support the transition and training process for the billing function, working closely with senior team members to ensure a smooth handover.

  • Participate in reviewing and analyzing billing processes, contributing ideas for improvement and assisting in implementing streamlined procedures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards.

  • Aid in monitoring accounts receivable activities, such as invoicing, collections, and aging reports, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Contribute to regular audits of billing and accounts receivable processes, assisting in identifying discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.

  • Provide support and assistance to accounting staff, including training on billing procedures and software systems.

Job requirements


  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.

  • Proven experience in documenting and streamlining operations, with a focus on billing and accounts receivable processes.

  • Hands-on experience with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition standards.

  • Proficiency in using NetSuite or similar accounting software.

  • Experience in service revenue is considered a strong asset.

This position is primarily a work from home position and we consider applicants throughout the United States. We support pay transparency. In alignment with our headquarters being based in Tempe, AZ, our AZ compensation range for this position is between $50/hour- $60/hour. Actual compensation can vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic pay differentials.
