Federal Technical Lead (Remote)

Isos Technology is looking for an energetic and personable professional to join our team as the Federal Technical Lead The right candidate will be a team player who effectively builds relationships both inside and outside the organization. They are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our clients and the Isos team. This position is remote and can work from anywhere in the US, from our Tempe, AZ location to Washington D.C. or anywhere in between. Periodic business travel will be required.


The Federal Technical Lead is responsible for technical leadership as well as technical product ownership in the Federal Delivery Practice. Through mentoring and coaching, the Federal Technical Lead will provide team members with the expertise needed to function within their jobs as well as grow personally and professionally. This individual is a self-starter who values team input and is willing to give input for the betterment of the team and our clients.

Technical Responsibilities:

As a Federal Technical Lead you will function as the technical expert within a given practice area for Isos professionals in service of our clients. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist team members with the technical aspects of practice within a given practice area to ensure technical expertise that drives innovation and outpaces the competition

  • Own the technical aspect of the product and lead from a technical perspective and collaborates with the Directors on strategic direction and initiatives

  • Earn a trusted advisor role with our government clients to ensure client satisfaction through quality delivery and best-in-class consulting approach. Use your extensive and diverse experience with Federal/DoD technical programs, software factory ecosystem, DevSecOps organizations, and DoD-specific cybersecurity requirements (ATO and cATO models) to drive partnerships and innovative implementations of Isos Federal services. Take a lead role in finding new opportunities where the team can show additional value to our clients to create additional business for Isos

  • Work directly with team members and direct reports to make sure they experience technical growth and maturity through coaching, support, and feedback

  • Draw from your extensive knowledge of the Atlassian Ecosystem to work directly with clients to collaboratively create solutions and/or roadmaps that show continued value

  • Demonstrate and cultivate Consulting Mindset throughout the team within the practice area

  • Assist Director in keeping entire team within practice area aligned with Isos’ values, culture, and goals

  • Maintain billable time of 60-65% each week through direct client engagement and/or team coaching on specific client engagements

Expectations:

Below are the primary expectations of the Federal Technical Lead role:

  • Isos' Atlassian Platinum Partnership is dependent on having certified and accredited resources. You will acquire and maintain the required technical and sales certifications in your first calendar year of employment and every subsequent year thereafter

  • Acquire and maintain at least one non-Atlassian professional accreditation or certification in your first calendar year of employment and every subsequent year thereafter. The certification should be relevant to Isos objectives and may include certifications on technologies or methodologies such as: AWS, Certified Scrum Master, Linux, etc. Isos will sponsor the exams, training and study materials to reach this objective

  • Maintain strategic alignment with Service Delivery leadership and assist in translating that throughout practice areas

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships within Atlassian to help provide guidance, leadership, and influence to the direction of Atlassian tools, with the ability to translate that back to how Isos goes to market in the future

  • Regularly contribute informative and engaging original content to be used in Isos' Atlassian Support and Services marketing efforts in the form of whitepapers, blog posts, and social media status updates

  • Regularly achieve weekly required billable hours

  • Provide support to the Sales/Business Development to provide assessments for opportunity scoping, request for proposal (RFP) technical volume inputs, potential client technical engagements, and other support as required

  • Serve as Atlassian Tools Subject Matter Expert; advise clients on Atlassian, related technologies and Isos Atlassian Services best practices, guidelines and recommendations

Requirements

Required Skills:

To function in the role of Federal Technical Lead, Isos requires you to already have the following demonstrable and verifiable skills:

  • Minimum of SECRET clearance. Highly desire TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility.

  • Ability to lead in accordance with Isos' values and culture

  • Ability to conduct yourself professionally and in accordance with Isos' values

  • Ability to effectively manage time and expectations with internal resources and clients

  • Ability to manage multiple clients and issues simultaneously

  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) for technical and business operations audiences

  • Ability to function on a highly collaborative team within leadership and within specific practice areas

  • Ability to demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise and strategic thinking, including a minimum of 5+ years experience and/or expert knowledge, within DoD specific applications of Atlassian tools.

  • 8+ years of experience in Federal/DoD technical programs, software factory ecosystems, DevSecOps Organizations, and moderate understanding of DoD cybersecurity considerations.

  • Understanding of implementation, use cases, and application of automation tools and their applicability to the scope of work (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.)


This position is primarily a work from home position and we consider applicants throughout the United States. We support pay transparency and the compensation range for this position is between $180,000 to $225,000 and this position is eligible for the employee bonus program, a suite of employee benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan. Actual compensation can vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic pay differentials.
