Atlassian Technical Trainer

Job description

Isos Technology is looking for an energetic and personable professional to join our team. The right candidate will be a team player who effectively builds relationships both inside and outside the organization. He/she is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our clients and consultants. This professional consultant works directly with clients to train their staff on Atlassian tools and to assist with effective deployment of Isos Technology products and services. In addition to delivering training you will maintain your expertise in the training content by assisting and learning from Consultants on implementation based delivery. This individual is a self-starter who values team input and is willing to give input for the betterment of the team.


Training Responsibilities:

As an Atlassian Technical Trainer you will function as a client facing subject matter expert on Atlassian tools. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Review and rehearse training materials, for all training classes Isos recommends to clients
  • Manage client training events, including working with clients to schedule training, pre-class and post-class logistics and administration activities
  • Effectively deliver training, either remotely or in person, to clients during these events
  • Provide feedback to Isos leadership on ways to improve training materials
  • Contribute to the development of Isos Training Program training classes
  • Manage training engagement scope in terms of budget and resource constraints; identify and manage risks and escalate blocking issues as needed
  • Report on status and progress to leadership for stakeholder organizations within a training engagement

Subject Matter Expertise Responsibilities:

As an Atlassian Technical Trainer you will support sales and marketing of Atlassian Services. You will have the following responsibilities:

  • Serve as Atlassian Tools Subject Matter Expert; advise clients on Atlassian and Isos Atlassian Services best practices, guidelines and recommendations
  • Work with business development and client stakeholders to establish training budgets, and once established be primarily responsible for ensuring Isos services are delivered within budget for each training engagement you lead.
  • Regularly contribute informative and engaging original content to be used in Isos Atlassian Services marketing efforts in the form of white papers, blog posts and social media status updates

Solution Implementation Support Capabilities

As an Atlassian Technical Trainer you will support Isos functional consultants responsible for the implementation and tool management leadership for Atlassian technologies. You will have the following responsibilities:

For Jira based implementations directly assist and support the functional consultant's duties which includes:

  • Advise and train client resource on how to configure, use and maintain global and project specific Jira configurations, with specific focus on:
    • Creating Jira project roles, issue types, components, workflows, release based configuration
    • Creating / organizing and managing screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes
    • Analyzing issue information to implement reports and data visualizations
    • For contracted Jira implementations preparing documentation, preparing train the trainer materials and conducting hand off training

Requirements

To function in the role of Atlassian Technical Trainer, Isos requires you already have the following demonstrable and verifiable skills:

  • Ability to present instructional materials to classes of at least 20 people
  • Ability to conduct yourself professionally and within Isos values
  • Ability to effectively manage time and expectations
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) for executive, technical and business operations audiences
  • Minimum 2 years of Technical Training Experience
  • Minimum 1+ years experience and/or expert knowledge of all supported versions of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
  • A combination of advanced or end user knowledge of all other supported Atlassian products
